With clever yes-no questions, each player works out who they are. All you need is paper slips, a pen and a group that enjoys a puzzle.

  1. Write down names

Everyone secretly writes a person or character on a slip and sticks it to their neighbour's forehead, without letting them see it.

  2. Ask yes-no questions

In turn, everyone questions the group, for example: am I a real person? On a yes, you get to keep asking.

  3. Guess

When you think you know who you are, you make a guess. If you're right, your character is solved.

  4. Until everyone knows

Play until everyone has guessed their name. Whoever needed the fewest questions wins.

Variations

  • Set categories, for example only celebrities, only animals or only film characters.
  • With a time limit per person it gets more hectic.
  • On a no, it's straight on to the next person, which speeds up the round.

Tips for your round

  • Ask broad questions first (real or fictional, male or female) and then narrow it down.
  • Remember the others' answers, they often help you too.
