If the bottle falls, the throwing team drinks as fast as it can until the opponents have stood the bottle back up. Whichever team is empty first wins.

  1. Line up

Two teams face each other, the empty bottle stands in the middle, and everyone's drink is in front of them.

  2. Throw at the bottle

One team takes turns throwing the ball at the bottle in the middle.

  3. Drink while it's down

If the bottle falls, the throwing team drinks as fast as it can. The other team runs, stands the bottle back up and shouts stop.

  4. First team done wins

You only drink while the bottle is down. Whichever team empties all its drinks first wins.

Variations

  • A bigger distance makes hitting the bottle harder and the rounds longer.
  • Without alcohol, play with water or juice, the race stays the same.
  • The losing team takes on a small extra task.

Tips for your round

  • Aim calmly rather than throwing hard, a hit counts for more than speed.
  • As the runner, set off immediately and stand the bottle in the centre, or it doesn't count.

FAQ

Flunkyball FAQ

How many players do you need for Flunkyball?

A typical game of Flunkyball takes 10 to 20 minutes. Group size and optional variations can make the round shorter or longer.
