  1. Sit in a circle

    Everyone sits in a circle around an open space, with the empty bottle in the middle.

  2. Spin the bottle

    Whoever's turn it is spins the bottle firmly and waits for it to come to a stop.

  3. Dare or question

    Whoever the neck of the bottle points to answers a question or takes on a small task, for example truth or dare.

  4. Pass it on

    Then the next person spins. As many times as you like, with no fixed end.

Variations

  • Classic: whoever's turn it is chooses truth or dare.
  • Gentle: only harmless questions, ideal for warming up or for mixed groups.
  • Points instead of drinking: whoever skips a task picks up a penalty point.
